Facebook Business Page Essential Checklist

To get started, we will show you some free tips on how to create your business Facebook page to increase online explosure:

Prepare your Facebook profile image, usually this would be your company’s logo.

You will need to ensure the photo size is 360×360 pixels and it needs to be a minimum size of 180×180 pixels.

It is important to test this on your mobile device and desktop to check that the logo font is big enough to read.

Choose an eye-catching banner image. The optimal size for a Facebook cover photo is 828×465 pixels. The banner may not resize proportionately on mobile devices, so please ensure all the copy is visible on the image banner (if there is any).

Add a call-to-action (CTA) button to your Facebook page so you can direct your audience to a desired course of action. The best CTA do so in a way that’s helpful to their visitors. Some examples would be “Contact us”, “Visit Our Website” or “Send Email”.

Add a story to your Facebook Business page. Include any interesting images and video content that can showcase the business.

Your audience will be engaged with the “why and how” of your business, and gain greater insight behind the unique story surrounding it’s origins.

Potential customers will be able to get to know you and your business in more detail.

As a minimum, we recommend that you post to your Facebook Pages 2-3 times per week.

Once your Facebook page is set up, we highly recommend that you invite your friends to follow and like your Facebook business page.

As weeks progress, you’ll see improvements in engagement.

Share your Facebook Business page URL to your friends and family and get them to invite their friends to your page. This will get your page more views, and potentially increase interactions.

In time, engagement will increase which can lead to more followers and likes.

Social Media Marketing is a free and effective word-of-mouth strategy which can help to attract new customers.

Try to post images and videos, as this will visually attract your target audience.

When posting videos, keep the content interesting and run-time short.

A page filled with colourful multimedia not only looks amazing, but can also boost your Facebook cred.

Connect your Facebook page to your Instagram account and use social media tools. This allow you to post more efficiently and get the most out of your social media marketing.

We use Zoho Social which has been very useful.

Lastly, set a budget to advertise on Facebook to attract new clients/customers.

We recommend starting with $7 to $10 per day. Trial this for one month, and check Facebook Insights to see if it is a return in value. Ensure you are targeting the right audience.
